Um… Well, this happened.

This has been a regular occurrence throughout Sansara’s life.

Headcanon: If Sansara Had a Boyfriend…

24.) What might your character’s ideal romantic partner be?

Ideally Sansara would want someone who is stronger than her in battle, preferably a bender, but it wouldn’t be a requirement. Aside from that, she would want someone who is good at cooking (since it’s impossible for her), maybe a bit competitive and playful, and someone who would stay with her through thick and thin; she learned from the pain of her father’s frequent absence, so loyalty is extremely important to her.

As for appearance, Sansara claims not to care about a person’s looks, but she’s actually attracted to people with light-colored eyes, like green and blue. She doesn’t like facial hair or a partner who is much taller than her.

Headcanon: Sansara’s Superstitions

23.) Is your character superstitious?

Sansara isn’t very superstitious, but she does believe in the power of the spirits, although her faith in them has failed over the years. She rarely prays to the spirits anymore, and doesn’t trust them to aide humans when they’re needed. As a child, Sansara was excited to hear stories about the spirits traveling to the human world, and the legends of the Avatars calming monstrous creatures and solving the riddles of trickster sprites in the Spirit World. She always hoped she would be able to meet an evil spirit and slay it, but she has never met a spirit of any kind, at least to her knowledge.

The more she searched, the more she found that over the years, the spirits have began leaving earth; in her eyes, abandoning humans in favor of the Spirit World. This was reinforced by the news that Wan Shi Tong’s library was abandoned and left open out in the middle of the desert, and the North Pole was mysteriously closed off from the Spirit Oasis where Tui and La once lived. Town elders in the places that used to be spiritual, such as the forests and the coasts, also claimed that the nature spirits had left them, after the construction of large cities and major deforestation began. Sansara pretends not to care that the spirits are leaving, but in reality she has always had this uneasy feeling that there’s a reason all of them have disappeared.

Headcanon: If Sansara Could Time Travel…

22.) If your character could time travel, where would they go?

If Sansara could time travel, well, she would go a lot of places. But most of all, she would want to go back in time seventy years and meet this “Toph” lady who everyone says she is so much like. Sansara knows Lin Beifong as her aunt, but always assumed Lin’s mother would be just as uptight as Lin. That’s why she was so baffled when her relatives kept off-handedly mentioning how similar Sansara and Toph were. That’s why Sansara would be most curious to meet Toph when she was a kid, and learn about all of the adventures she had with Avatar Aang.

Headcanon: Sansara’s Cutie Mark

21.) What would your character’s  cutie mark be?

I couldn’t resist going all-out :P

Headcanon: Sansara’s Fear

20.) Does your character have any irrational fears?

Sansara has a severe phobia of small, dark spaces, but only when the two are together. She doesn’t mind tight squeezes, as long as there is light and at least one visible way to escape it, and she isn’t afraid of the dark unless there’s something restricting her movement. Being underground is a small subset of this, where she becomes hyper-conscious of the fact that a cave-in could occur at any moment. Usually she becomes visibly nervous, but occasionally she will be paralyzed in fear until someone comforts her.

This fear probably came from one time when she was cleaning the barrel of a cannon in the cargo hold of the S.S. Ranshaw, when it tilted upwards and she got trapped, in the dark, frozen in fear that the blasting jelly residue could set the weapon off at any moment, or that someone might not notice her and load it with her still inside. She was stuck like that for almost an entire day before her father’s friend realized she was missing, and went down to the lower decks to search for her. So, you can see why certain things might trigger Sansara’s fear, and others might not.

Headcanon: Sansara and Traveling

19.) What’s your character’s preferred means of travel?

Sansara loves traveling by sky bison, and had a lot of fun with Oogie and Mana, but after losing Mana, she felt a bit disheartened by the prospect, and refused to take Oogie out for a ride with her uncle. She’ll probably get over it, though.

Other than that, Sansara loves boats. Her dad’s steam engine craft, the S.S. Ranshaw especially. She spent two years living on the ship, and promised her father that one day she would command an entire fleet of her own, that is until she got into pro-bending.

Sansara does NOT like Satomobiles. They are too small for her, and seem way too dangerous, being boxed inside like that. However, motorcycles do appeal to her, since they provide much more freedom of movement, and go much faster than cars. The only thing is, she hadn’t encountered either of these until she came to the City, and so her opinion of them is very limited, having only ridden on a motorcycle once, and in a Satomobile not at all.

Headcanon: Sansara and Cooking

18.) Is your character a good cook? What’s their favorite recipe, whether they’re good or not? (Microwave mac-and-cheese applies.)

HAHA. FUNNY YOU SHOULD ASK.

Sansara is a TERRIBLE chef. In all ways, shapes, and forms. She can’t. Just can’t. Don’t ask her to, she’ll probably blow up your kitchen. She is good with a knife, however. Especially gutting fish and slicing meat, eggplants, and occasionally mushrooms. But that’s about it. She can’t chop vegetables very evenly, or dice tomatoes for crap. She will try her hardest, she’ll be damned if she doesn’t give it her best shot each time, but cooking always ends in failure with her.

Her favorite recipe to make is rice cakes. She’s never… actually… succeeded in making them, but she loves to watch other people make them and tries to make them with her brother whenever he visits her in the Fire Nation. Most of the sticky rice ends up on her hands, but she’s just as satisfied eating it from there, rather than in cake form.
